I often wander through the streets and ghats of Banaras with my camera, hoping to capture a moment that I can hold onto forever. Every day in street photography brings a new experience, and every corner tells a new story. The bustling streets of Banaras, the ghats of the Ganges, and the quiet sandbanks across the river—all these places draw me in.
As I was walking on the sandbanks, my eyes fell on a young man who was flying a kite with great enthusiasm. His eyes sparkled with joy and excitement, as if he wanted to tie the whole world with the thread of his kite. But what caught my attention the most was the camel standing right behind him—calm, still, and utterly ordinary. This scene was something special—on one hand, the young man was playing with the wind, flying his kite, and on the other, the camel was lost in its own world, as if time had stood still.
I immediately picked up my camera and captured that moment. For me, this scene was more than just a photograph. It was a strange balance between excitement and serenity—on one side, the joy of flying a kite, and on the other, the stillness of the camel. It was as if these two were different aspects of life, coming together in a single frame.
This picture reminded me that photography is not just about technique. It's about finding and capturing those moments that tell untold stories.
