In Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Tamil people organize traditional bullock cart rides every Sunday. This tradition dates back to the mid-80s when agriculture was the primary livelihood in the region, and most households owned bullock carts. In a bullock cart, the bulls are harnessed in front with a rope, while the rider sits at the front of the carriage, and items are loaded onto the back of the cart. During the ride, the driver communicates with the bull to prevent fatigue, tapping the animal\'s back with a small stick for steering.
