This is not a competition ranking and not a distribution of places, but a dynamic list of authors and images that are currently considered the most relevant and engaging for the audience.
The algorithm takes into account a combination of factors, including contest participation results, portfolio quality, consistency of publications, user behavior when viewing photos, and other parameters. The composition of the lists may change over time — some photographers are shown today, others later. There is no fixed selection formula; the parameters are regularly adjusted.
Being included in or excluded from a selection is not a final assessment of a photographer’s level. Otherwise, the system operates automatically, like any modern recommendation model.
