Uncertain Moment [TOP100]
In this series, I tried to capture the simultaneity of people in the spotlight. I wanted to capture the fleeting moments and the quiet solitude of the city by aiming for the spotlight that appears for a short time on the platform of the local train line at Atocha Station. As I looked down at the scene through the lens, I imagined a drama of chance unfolding like in a Paul Auster novel.

Misty Morning Whispers
In this black-and-white photo, two dogs are sitting on a stone platform, facing away from each other. The dogs are in the foreground, and their distinct black and white fur patterns are clearly visible. They both appear calm and alert, looking in opposite directions. The background is enveloped in a thick, misty fog, creating a mysterious and serene atmosphere. In the distance, partially obscured by the fog, are two figures on horseback. The riders are barely visible but add an intriguing element to the scene. They seem to be moving through the mist, which gives the impression of a dreamy or ethereal journey. Behind them, a tall, slender building looms, shrouded in the fog, adding to the sense of depth and scale in the photo. The setting is the Maidan in Kolkata, known for its vast open space and greenery. During winter mornings, the Maidan often experiences dense fog, creating scenes like this one. The photograph captures the quiet and tranquil beauty of a winter morning in Kolkata, with the fog adding a touch of magic and mystery to the everyday life of the city.

This captivating photo, taken in Mudurnu, Turkey. This shot can present the essence of a traditional Turkish barbershop. When rice season.
The scenery becomes breathtaking when the rice fields turn golden, with vast stretches of vibrant yellow fields. This is when mothers and children visit the fields together, enjoying the peaceful and intimate atmosphere of the countryside. Couples also find the ripened fields perfect for strolling, taking photos, and strengthening their bonds. The harvest season symbolizes abundance and offers an opportunity for people to connect with nature and each other.
Notting Hill Carnival
The History of Notting Hill Carnival In January 1959, Trinidadian human rights activist Claudia Jones organised a showcase for Afro-Caribbean talent to unify the community. Dubbed Claudia’s Caribbean Carnival, it grew into an annual celebration held in local town halls and community centres until Claudia died in 1964. Then in 1966, Notting Hill resident Rhaune Laslett organised the first street festival and invited Russell Henderson, who had played for Claudia Jones in 1959. He led a steel pan procession of locals up and down Portobello Road – and attracted quite a crowd. From these humble beginnings, the Notting Hill Festival has grown into Europe’s largest street party. An incredible multicultural celebration of dance, music and costumes, this year promises a big and vibrant celebration in W10’s streets. With attendees expected to soar past one million, and tens of thousands of participants from across the globe, the annual Notting Hill Carnival continues to cement its place as a colourful cornerstone of London culture.

Nandgaon, located near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, India, is famous for its unique and colorful celebration of Holi, known as \"Lathmar Holi.\" This traditional festival takes place at the Radha Rani Temple in Nandgaon, where women playfully beat men with sticks (lathis), symbolizing the playful teasing between Lord Krishna and the gopis (cowherd girls). During Lathmar Holi, men from nearby villages, especially from Barsana (Radha\'s village), come to Nandgaon, and the women greet them with colors and sticks. The men sing traditional folk songs teasing the women, who respond by playfully hitting them with sticks. It\'s a joyful and lively event filled with music, dance, and a lot of laughter. The entire town of Nandgaon gets involved in the festivities, and visitors from around the world come to witness this unique cultural celebration. It\'s an excellent example of how Holi is celebrated in different ways across India, each with its own local traditions and rituals.
This is one of the traditional folk activities in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. During festivals and holidays, the whole street will be filled with fireworks and firecrackers. People do this to ward off disasters and evil spirits, pray for good fortune and blessings, and carry on the spirit of their ancestors.
Shapes
Walking around the extremely chaotic Mercato, Addis Ababa, and passing by tones of recycled objects, I was overwhelmed of this composition: different shapes of rectangles and squares perfectly placed to frame and emphasize the grey dressed lady intensely occupied to “open” new windows and stories.
Kecak dancers rush towards the flames without fear
Kecak Dance is a sacrificial dance in the Hindu temples of Bali, Indonesia. The story is taken from the Ramayana, and it is said to be a confrontation between justice and evil. The whole performance has no instrumental accompaniment, only the rhythmic "cha-cha-cha" sound made by the male performer, and the dancers use flexible and exaggerated facial expressions and rich body language to present a visual feast. The dancers use body language to tell ancient legends and praise the great power of God. During the performance, a group of young people sit around a torch, shaking their bodies and making religious calls. When the dancers face the raging fire, although their eyes are pressed tightly because of fear, they still rush to the fire without hesitation for the sake of faith. The rich body language of the dancers and the spectacular scene of rushing to the raging fire and kicking the burning fire away with sparks flying make the whole dance look particularly magical.
This photo was captured during the Pushkar Mela in Rajasthan, India, an event renowned for its bustling trade of camels and horses. In the scene, a camel vendor is preparing food for himself. Through my camera lens, I connected the image of the vendor with the camels surrounding him. At one moment, a camel\'s appeared directly above the food bowl, creating an illusion that seemed as if a group of camels was being cooked in a small pot. This unique visual connection makes this photo one of my favorites, distinguishing it from all my other photos.

Morning stroll with the Ocean
Gold Coast, Australia 6 -7 am The surfer seemed annoyed when I raised my camera to eye level, alerting him just before I took the photo. He turned his head away as I captured the moment. I was walking along the shore when he crossed my path. Normally, I would take a photo from the hip, but since I was using a fast lens wide open at 75mm, I had to rely on the viewfinder for precise focus. With manual exposure and manual focus set, I took two frames in a span of about 10–15 seconds. P.S. Taken from near Burleigh Heads. The image is mirror reversed.

Race of the odd
In rural India, there is old tradition of race between horse and bull. Horse is powerful runner than bull. But in actual race horse and bull has to run not only fast but in synchronised manner to win the race. The running speed, strength and height of both animals are different. Thats why this race of odd is famous.

Under the Invisible Light: Infrared Portraits of the Metro
"Under the Invisible Light: Infrared Portraits of the Metro" is a photographic project that explores the hidden aspects of Mexico City's subway life. Using black-and-white infrared photography and flash, it reveals scenes and individuals often overlooked in the metro's bustling environment. The infrared technique uncovers an alternate dimension of reality, blending light and shadow to create strikingly emotional and visual images. The photos capture metro passengers in introspective and weary moments, presenting familiar scenes in an almost surreal light and offering intimate glimpses into their experiences.

Tales from the Loop
The "Tales from the Loop" series was shot in November 2024 during my stay in Chicago's Downtown district called "the Loop". I wanted to describe all the different peculiarities of the district using my camera. In this series I took shots with wide-angle and fisheye lenses. Almost all the pictures were in black and white with high contrast in the scene, Only two pictures were shot in color to emphasize the atmosphere and to recreate the mood of that peculiar moments, especially in the shot with yellow road markings that was creating a natural huge color contrast.

Ekaterina Kutikova Bgantseva’s street photography documents life in Spain in black and white. Over the past few years, she has explored streets, plazas, and quiet corners, focusing on the relationship between light and shadow. By emphasizing texture, contrast, and geometry, her black-and-white images unreveal the city\'s underlying skeleton—its architecture, rhythms, and inhabitants reduced to essential form.
Amidst towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, a classic red Hong Kong taxi waits at a crossroad, its presence a timeless emblem of the city\'s fast-paced energy. The bold yellow lines guide the way, mirroring the structured chaos of urban life. In this moment, past and present converge—where tradition meets modernity in the ever-evolving heartbeat of Hong Kong.

Red'N'White Evening
This captivating photograph by Nicolas captures the essence of a tranquil late afternoon in Lugano, Switzerland. The interplay of warm sunlight cascading onto the urban street, coupled with the vibrant colors of the Italian restaurant façade, instantly draws the viewer\'s attention. The whimsical transformation of a Fiat 500 into an ice cream freezer adds a touch of playful charm to the scene. The composition is strikingly balanced, with the dominant hues of red and white echoing throughout the frame. Against this backdrop, two passersby, one clad in a white coat and the other in a red one, seamlessly blend into the color palette, as if they were intentionally part of the carefully orchestrated scene. Nicolas\'s keen eye for color harmonies is evident in this image, as he skillfully captures the beauty in the ordinary moments of everyday life. Through his lens, Lugano comes alive with warmth, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the simple yet enchanting scenes that unfold in the midst of urban landscapes.

One stick determines the universe
Under the night sky, raging flames rise and roll like a giant fire curtain, with a blazing light piercing through the darkness. A figure dressed in red and wearing a bamboo hat stood resolutely in front of the sea of fire, holding a long pole. The confrontation between humans and fire is like a confrontation of power, and also like an ancient and mysterious dialogue, bursting out with stunning visual impact and artistic tension that shakes the soul.

Ordinary work
They were laying asphalt on my street. I went out and started taking pictures. At first from a distance, gradually came closer. Avgan was the first to respond. He threw up his arm and posed. Others also let them get closer. They were pleased that someone was filming their hard work. I became an event for them. Soon the boss came up to me. Why are you shooting? Where will the photos go? What are you looking for here? Are you in control? Who sent you? There was wariness in his voice, distrust, a willingness to drive me away. But after 15 seconds, he and his friend were smiling and talking with me like old friends. The workers came up to me and took contact so that they could get photos later. And so the cheerful work was colored with joy. I was allowed everywhere. They themselves offered to climb onto the bridge of the asphalt paver. Everyone wanted joy and photos. It\'s a hard job. Cars are driving by, people in them do not express their respect to the workers and do not say thank you. But not tonight. A lot of crews are laying asphalt, but only a photographer is photographing them. These photos will fly hundreds and thousands of kilometers to their homes, wives, parents, and children. They will see their fathers at work, they will be inspired. Perhaps they will be proud. They will show the photos to their friends and say, look, my father is working. This is my father, he was photographed by a photographer and took professional photos. No one has them, but I do. After an hour and a half, I said goodbye to everyone and left. Outside the window below, they continued to lay asphalt. His scent wafted up to me. The monitor was shining on the face, I was already processing their photos.

Gaze
The structure of the spiral staircase emphasises its complexity and order when viewed from above, as if it symbolises the flow of life and time. A person walking down may not see how his or her own path is connected to the whole, even though he or she is physically located in the centre. In contrast, from a perspective looking down from above, the person's walk and surroundings can be seen as a whole. This symbolises that when we are immersed in our own lives we can only see things from a narrow perspective, but with a view from above (a bird's eye view or insight through time) we can see greater meaning and patterns.

The yellow tunnel
This is the stairs that lead to the exit of the Leeum Museum. There is a mirror on the top and the front that reflects the half ring into a full ring. The girls on the other side are a reflection of them who are in silhouette. I respect the original yellow color as that\\\'s a part of the art I believe. I used Lightroom to develop the image. Lower the texture, the clarity, and the dehaze settings to make the image more blurred and let yellow reach the front. Try to darken the front mirror more so that I can navigate the viewer\\\'s eye to the silhouette.
