Shaheen is a monsoon visitor to Chennai & surrounding, usually sighted between May to September with sightings in July & August Shaheen falcon displays aggression while devouring the pond heron kill. She is very brave & bold, not bothered much by human presence, and followed her daily routines & hunts just in front of us. I was lucky to witness her making kills and fortunate to record some live hunts as well.

The pink winged visitors are found in abundance at the Pulicat Lake of Tamil Nadu, India which is the second largest brackish water lagoon in India measuring about 750 square kilometres! This is also one of the important wetlands to attract rain clouds for the place during the season. It's also known as the safe heaven for about 2 lakh birds.

Click on 21st November 2021, I was returning to Vadodara Gujarat after wildlife photography at vadhavana bird century. I Shaw an owl in the hollow trunk of tree. I took amazing click of owl. The colour of eyes is different because in one eye there is natural light and another eye is in shadow.

The staff of Sundararaja Perumal Temple in Alagarkoil and the forest department officials have been feeding the monkeys of Alagar hills, in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The monkeys, which largely dependent on pilgrims to feed them, were facing starvation due to the lockdown, said the official. “For many years, these monkeys were used to regular supply of fruits and food from the devotees and nearby shops. Also, because of the summer season, there is not much food for them in the forest.
