The rich grasslands of Inner Mongolia has been legendary amongst the pastoral & nomadic tribes for thousand of years. But, in a world shaped by the desire to gauge society through its ability to generate profit, this way of life is framed as “primitive”. In 2003,China introduced a 15y campaign to “retire livestock & restore the grasslands” in Inner Mongolia,Qinghai & Tibet. This extensive program blamed herders & their animals for land degradation & resettled millions of herders from the steppe into towns. This lead thousands of pastoralist unemployed & the loss of millenniums-old traditions. Here inside a big cloud of dust, after a big herd of horses past by.
This photo was taken night at a beach in total darkness with the professional dancer Margarita Kostoulou and two off camera flash lights plus an assistant throwing water on her. The purpose was to capture a special water movement of both the dancer and the water. This was one of the best shots.

Milos, one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades and of the whole Mediterranean Sea. Milos is the most Western island of the Cyclades, not far from other known islands like Santorini and Sifnos. It is part of an archipelago, which includes the islands of Kimolos, Antimilos, Poliegos and the small islands of Glaronissia, and Akradies. Exploring the archipelago is a colored dream to discover, renting one of the many boats doing this service.
Milos has a millennial history, a residential population of about 6.000 people, and its territory allows you to vary your holiday, from choosing your peaceful beach, your trekking path, a typical restaurant, a museum and the site where the Venus of Milos was discovered. One typical characteristic is the exploitation of the various minerals. Mines are still present and represent by themselves an occasion to visit them All at hand and with a soft rhythm.
