We saw a female humpback whale that was all white except for her head and part of her back.
She did not run away from us and swam with us many times. Her shiny white body was so divine.
The mother dolphin swam cautiously to prevent humans from approaching her baby, and when the humans were far away, she swam close to them.
The mother whale swam from behind, anxiously waiting for her baby to rise to the surface to breathe.
The love of cuddling and the love of watching over each other are both different and both are precious.
Taken in Kingdom of Tonga,
When a mother and calf are encountered, the calf is almost always snuggled up to the mother.
The mother whale always supports her calf, which is not yet a good swimmer, from below.
This is no different from that of a human parent and child, and it is a very endearing sight.
While I was observing a whale from a distance, the whale swam towards me.
A photo taken while seriously facing a whale staring at us with curious eyes.
Jack knife dive of the humpback calf. The white belly of the new born calf were so beautiful so chose monochrome to emphasize its whiteness of the new virgin life. Used 8mm ultra wide fisheye lens which requires to get close enough to the subject by a careful serial free diving. Equipment: OM-1 + 8mm F1.8 Fisheye PRO+AOI-UH-OM1 Housing +DLP-05 Dome Port
The fantastic Graphium sarpedon has made its appearance during the sunny days of the rainy season.
Will the next rainfall be in a few hours?
Come on, let's get to a safe place with those beautiful wings as soon as possible.
I photographed a red kingfisher living in Okinawa.
It is a brightly colored bird, but more than that, I wanted the viewer to see the beautiful form of this bird, so I used black and white photography.
Captured the whole encounter with the rare white body humpback whale including the interaction with the freedivers. The water condition during this encounter was almost like a miracle with calm clear water just like a swimming pool. Thus the surface reflected white color from the rare white body singer whale, just like a mirror effect. By mixing black & white photos, I wanted to highlight both the beauty of the water's blue as well as the white part of the rare white body singer whale.
