It’s already after midnight in Ukraine. Kharkiv city is covered with darkness. You literally can’t see a hand while the only source of light is twinkling stars.
With a daily curfew and unending danger of shelling, the residents, who are still or back in the city, switch off the lights to follow the wartime blackout. Neither are public street lights on.
It took around 7 minutes to make each photo and let the silhouettes of buildings be seen. That\'s why the stars in the images look like flying rockets.
Even in the darkest times, we keep seeing the beauty of the places we love. No matter how dark it gets, we know that the night is darkest just before dawn.
