Floating man with his boat
In 1983, a South Korean freighter sailed past Xiaolan Island. Due to the bad weather, the ship hit a rock and was submerged by water. Finally, the captain drove the ship out of Yatsushiro Bay and let the freighter sink slowly (to maintain the possibility of future rescue).
The sunken ship was on the sand at a depth of 40 meters and had to dive to 22 meters to reach the upper edge of the cabin (the mast at the highest point was about 20 meters). Sea currents have always been a feature of this dive site, so it is a very difficult dive site for freedivers.
In the photo, a freediver lands in a floating position, preparing to enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
