Northern Harrier on the hunt
Northern Harriers are hawks, long-winged and long-tailed, usually seen hovering low over the ground in open country. At close range, the face of a Northern Harrier looks like that of an owl and unlike most other hawks they rely on their keen hearing ability to help ocate prey as it courses low over the fields. Shot of a Harrier in the act.
