Hiding the nest
In the photograph, a black turtle (Chelonia agassizii) on the beaches of Michoacán.
This work was done on supervision and instructions of the Black Turtle Specialist Group and the Colola Turtle Camp staff.
the photo was taken at midnight, at the moment the turtle is in a trance, after laying the eggs. This is the stage in which it is dedicated to cover and camouflage the nest.
At this moment, it was allowed to use lighting in a very prudent way, so as not to affect the natural behavior and health of this and the other specimens on the beach.
