Khosro Vahabi
Born in 1982 in Guilan, Northern Iran.
Although I started photography 14 years ago as a hobby, it has turned into the greatest passion in my life since then. In 2009, I did a comprehensive course in analog and digital photography in Young Journalists Club in Rasht, Iran, which made the power of photography in expressing the world beyond words clear to me.
My photography mainly demonstrates the beauty in the ordinary, typically the forgotten and the unimportant entities, especially those found in nature. I cherish my connection with nature having lived two decades of my life in one of the greenest country sides of Northern Iran.
I have participated in group exhibitions in Rasht and Istanbul (2014 and 2017 Marlik Gallery & 2017 Idil Gallery). I have also won awards in 2017 and 2018 at 78th Asahi Shimbon Saloon of Japan and Fine Art Photography Awards of London respectively.
I currently live and work in Istanbul, Turkey.
