Wixárika Woman's Heart

The Wixárika is an ethnic group, a culture full of traditions, mystical beliefs, and cosmogony about the creation of the universe, it is one of the most important cultures in Mexico. I made this series of portraits with a family from the Santa Catarina Jalisco community, in my home studio, they stayed with us for a month since we gave them accommodation. After becoming good friends, we made these portraits in the last days for the whole family of Andrés and Amalia.
