Bull Jumping

The “Bull Jumping” tests the bravery of Ukuli, who must be able to dominate his fears to become man. Ukuli is partially shaved, he is stripped naked and rubbed with sand to wash away his sins and bad luck. He also wears two strips of bark around his chest as protection during the test. f Hamer Ukuli fails to pass the test, because he falls more than four times, he must wait for the following year to retry the jump. If successful, the young man receives an animal skin on his neck and finally celebrations start with dances and dazed sounds of rattles and horns.

Flamingoes in the mist

Lesser Flamingoes, (Phoeniconaias minor) once very common in East Africa have seen their number depleted to reach the IUCN Red List status of Near Threatened. The enormous increase of waterlevel in the laks where they use to nest has made them move to other areas, such as lake Amboseli, looking for more suitable areas to live in. Unfortunately, they don\'t breed there.

This series is inspired by the early twentieth century art movement "Art Nouveau", especially the works of Alphonse Mucha. Representing the figure of the woman, in her nature, portraying her in sweet and sinuous lines that meet and intertwine harmoniously around her, expressing her elegance and delicacy. I portray women in a mystical and symbolic way, through floral elements and luminous manual movements. A hymn to Woman's refinement. The portraits was made entirely in the dark with light tool, using only long exposure technique. There is no use of photo manipulation.

Extraordinary city! I had the pleasure of living it for only 3/4 hours and this did not allow me to fully enjoy and appreciate its uniqueness. A city that shows everyday life from another perspective; no vehicles, the smell of the sea surrounding people, alternative taxis, in short, it was almost like being in a movie set . Once I arrived in Piazza San Marco the sun began to set and as I went back I realized how everything that I had admired during the day (like this bridge in the photo) was dispersed among the dark and isolated alleys. . Curfew at the Vatican City

Two policemen walk along via della Conciliazione. They are making sure there are no people breaking the lockdown quarantine. This large pedestrian-only avenue is always crowded with tourists and Romans alike, going to visit St. Peter's square and church or returning from them. The emptiness of the street tells us how much even the door to the Vatican City and the greatest attraction of Catholic world has not been spared by the draconian rules put in place by the Italian Government to stop the spreading of the virus.
