Farewell, Michio!
Dedicated to the memory of Michio Hoshino (27.09.52-08.08.96).
Michio Hoshino photographed the wild nature of Alaska and Russia, was considered one of the best photographers in this direction, and had students. During his stay at the cordon near the Kurile Lake in Kamchatka, Mitio Hoshino filmed bears. One of them began to distinguish him from other people and take a personal interest in the Japanese, follow in his footsteps. This behavior of a bear is very dangerous and is a formidable sign. Despite the warnings of the Russians, Michio ignored the offer to sleep in the cordon hut and pitched his tent under the window outside. At night, the bear killed him, dragged the body away and ate part of the corpse.
