It is a small dragonfly with brown-capped yellowish-green eyes. Its thorax is olivaceous-brown, marked with a reddish-brown humeral stripe and two brownish stripes on each side. “Ship Cremation” or Wangkang ceremony

This “Ship Cremation” or Wangkang ceremony is a unique centuries-old Taoist tradition in Malaysia, and is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is a ceremony where prayers are performed with a huge variety of foods served on a long table, and a big Wangkang ship is paraded in town to invite restless spirits to board the ship and join the navy of the deity, and the ship is finally burnt (“cremated”). This spiritual gathering is said to lessen chaos and foster global peace.
