The relationship between a grey heron and a frog is one of predator and prey. Grey herons are opportunistic hunters that feed on a variety of small animals found in or near water, including frogs.
Frogs are commonly found in wetland habitats, ponds, and marshes, which are also favored hunting grounds for grey herons. When hunting for prey, grey herons use their long legs to wade through shallow water and their sharp bills to strike at small animals, including frogs.
This interaction demonstrates the role of predators like the grey heron in regulating the populations of prey species such as frogs within ecosystems. It's a fundamental aspect of the food web and helps maintain ecological balance.

The juxtaposition is striking, for on the very wall behind him, a vibrant graffiti of Maa Durga adorns the surface.
