Calf of humpback whale swimming in a relaxed mood being protected by mother. The white belly side of the new born virgin calf were so beautiful so highlighted that whiteness by monotone. Tried to capture the moment that they get aligned durng the serial freediving shootings by a 8mm ultra wide fisheye lens. (Camera OM-1, iso500, 1/250, f/5.6 AOI-UH-OM1 Housing+DLP-05 Dome Port )
Captured the whole encounter with the rare white body humpback whale including the interaction with the freedivers. The water condition during this encounter was almost like a miracle with calm clear water just like a swimming pool. Thus the surface reflected white color from the rare white body singer whale, just like a mirror effect. By mixing black & white photos, I wanted to highlight both the beauty of the water's blue as well as the white part of the rare white body singer whale.
