Mubarak Mosque, the building dates back to the pre-Islamic era
The mosque witnessed two recorded expansions, the first of which was in 1952 AD, and the other in November 2005 AD, with the effort of the people of the region to be an Islamic center, and the cost of renovation exceeded 10 million Saudi riyals (about 2.67 million US dollars), the bulk of which was donations from the people. Construction work began on August 6, 2007 AD, and officially opened on August 19, 2019 AD despite the incomplete completion of construction operations, which spanned about 13-odd years.
