This is an approximately 4 hours long exposure of two things in motion - stars and water. It took me 3 years and 3 attempts to create this image as the conditions were not congenial for the image in the first two times (2017 and 2018). This was captured close to the town of Sohra located in the North-East Indian State of Meghalaya.
While enjoying the trip with my friends i saw these kids diving in the river (dam) fearlessly, meanwhile i thought of freezing them in the air and went down the stairs to give it a wide perspective and it was a fraction of seconds when this kid in foreground was coming out looking straight into my camera from the river and i made the shot.
I took this photograph in the Ganga river. It boasts a secret in itself is the photograph the story that is very surprised. A worker seen create long columns of rice before walking along and spreading the piles with their feet and rakes. Drying of paddy grains is one of the most important step before sending them to Rice mill. By reducing the moisture level of the grain, the risk of bacteria is being kept to the minimum for storage.
One of the most fascinating animals in nature are none other than our gentle giants the Elephants... i can spend hours watching them ,

It was my last day in Masai Mara and me along with my photographer friends were having our breakfast in the middle of Jungle. All our equipment's were kept in the vehicle and we were enjoying our breakfast. All of sudden I spotted these beautiful Zebras curiously watching us. I ran towards my vehicle to grab my camera and tried to freeze this moment. I always wonder is it a "Black on White" or "White on Black"?
In India, the Autumn days are hot and humid but the nights are pleasant. In the morning, dew drops are found on the edge of grass, flower petals and sometimes water is stored in the flower petals.
A Crimson Sunbird female refreshing herself with the water which is stored in the petal of an ornamental banana flower as if nature creates a floral bath tub for her.
One of the most underrated species in the world of Reptiles discovered in India. Fan-throated Lizards often release their fan which is enclosed in their chest to call for a mate or for a territorial fight. This series is one of the longest territorial fights we ever witnessed and they nearly tore each other apart with their deadly jaws and claws. Their appearence often reminds of the age of Dragons. Even organisations like BBC Earth have recently made a full time documentation of this reptile with this unique phenomenon of territorial fight.
I was waiting for a friend. I heard crying noise, looked around. He was crying because of the wound on his head. His mother went to get some water and he slept before she came.
Its real Bull Power. The rider has to run along with the pair. In one such Race the rider himself was airborne for some time as he could not match with speed of bulls.

The Flower Chafer is a beautiful, shiny, emerald green, and quite large beetle.
Flower chafers are small, stocky beetles that come in shimmering bright colors. They look like round little dumplings. The most popular are the emerald green flower chafer, the pachnoda marginata and the Derby's flower beetle. They’re perfect for beginners and lovely to watch.
These animals don’t live for very long but, as long as you look after them properly, you can enjoy the next generation. Flower chafers grow to around 1-2 in (2.5-5 cm) and live for around 5-7 months.
The series shows some unique behaviors of Black-winged Stilts. First they have quarrels among them and then pair goes for mating. The different stages of the acts are shown here.

Darter (Anhinga melanogaster) is also known as ‘Snake Bird’ for its slender neck which helps to hunt fishes into the water. The upper part of this water bird is black while the under part is brownish. The long straight bill, white neck and webbed feet are other features of this bird.
This species is frequently seen beside the fresh water-bodies in search of food. Darters are considered as silent bird but become somewhat vocal in defending their nests and chicks.
Like all the creatures, the Darters are also very much aware of their own rights. None of them is ready to leave their own territorial rights, even in the water. So, they are trying their best to set up their own right to get the advantageous position for hunting in water which is greatly related to their existence.
These images prove that how much aggressive they can be to defend their own regions. In water, they flap their wings so hard that it overpowers the opponent in some way or other.
Get a short introduction about Darter:
The rain made everyone a 'Mumbaikar' in one fell swoop. Now no one is Marathi, no one is a brother, no one is a Hindu, no one is a Muslim !! Only a man who gets wet, only a man who asks for help and only a man who takes care of every soul !! Tomorrow the wool will fall, the rain will stop, everything will be fine. Just do one. Preserve the moisture provided by this rain!
This is a dark fashion art portraiture. For me photography is an art and I always try to create a artistic images. Body painting is a form of body art where artwork is painted directly onto the human skin.

The architectural delight of this wonderful staircase mesmerised me. Quite popular in the list of travellers to London. Therefore, it was awfully difficult for me to find the right timing of the day to avoid maddening crowd. For this shot, I almost went supine on the floor pushing the extremities of my gear to get the widest possible angle. An immediate reflection was to process this in the simplest black and white to highlight the lines and curves which brought out the beauty of this fibonacci spiral
The quest for betterment for an artist is limitless. Regardless the age, gender and whatever barriers he faces, he always tries to improve and improvise his artform. Like in the above shot the old tailor is trying his best to complete his work. He may seem weak but his determination is what makes him a perfect artist. For him the age isn't a barrier.

As the Cheetah sees his prey..
for a succesful hunt, the predator must be out of focus of the prey and at the same time, the prey has to be in a striking range and perfectly focussed.
the splash, the Zebra.s are creating is adding to the moment.
A different frame to get a raptor facing towards you and running to catch its prey. There were many photographers present to capture this bold beauty, people were trying to get closeup as much they can. I preferred to be a more little distant to get this action.
During an early morning birding session, came across this Squirrel hunting down the termites. I have set myself down to the ground and was waiting for the right moment. Although it has caught most of the termites facing off the camera, felt lucky to document this at last.

Durga Puja is incomplete without the Dhunuchi Naach—a freestyle dance form where performers dance to beats of the Dhak and the sound of Kansor, with dhunuchis (clay incense pits pots) filled with burning incense in their hand. Bengali woman clad in a beautiful red saree with golden border starts the Dhunuchi dance with grace and poise matching to the festival rhythms of dhak. The atmosphere fills up with the essence of spirituality and holiness as the smoke of the Dhuna fills up the air.
A train window which is showcasing so many other windows and one such window where a lady is waiting eagerly. The whole train is empty and waiting for its new passengers. On the other side this lady is waiting for someone or something. Her over anticipated eyes are telling different abstracting stories. The simplicity in her overall attire and visage is making a minimalist look. This picture is taken at Sealdah station, Kolkata.

Kamchatka brown bears although solitary, congregate where there are plentiful sources of food and the Kuril Lake in Kamchatka is one such area. The bears bulk up to the abundant nutrition in the salmon and are particularly aggressive at times fighting over rights to prime fishing spots as well as over food. Most of the day is spent on the banks of the Kuril Lake where you set up and wait for opportunities to photograph. Given the density of bears at a given place, focussing on one individual in the melee is a challenge and one has to be guided by patience, keen observation and anticipation. I was patiently waiting for the opportune moment to be able to isolate this particular bear that despite a few futile attempts, was not ready to give up. He had been eyeing his catch intently, hoping to stake claim, when another bear swooped in and stole it from him. What ensued was a wild swipe and a clear display of annoyance. It was all over in a flash. Fortunately there was no obstruction at this opportune time and it allowed me to freeze the moment. He was so close, yet so far, and I could only empathise.
Specie: Kamchatka Brown Bear (Ursus arctos beringianus)
Location: South Kamchatka Sanctuary, Russia
