It all starts with accelerated heart-beat.
Every muscle from my body is now working to keep it under control. It does not come with any alarm, it's completely out of a burst.
It's a war inside me and I can feel every weapon pointing to my own heart, because he is the villain of this whole story.
Each part of me is ready to battle once they listen to my lungs scream, high and on marching rythm, as I breath heady and heavier.
I feel pain in my chest and right after that my eyes are wet. It must be my beloved heart opening fire against whoever is near but he happens to be really bad at aiming.
As I close my eyes trying to stanch the river of tears going out of them I also try to look inside me hoping to find a safe place to stay during this massacre. But, all I see is my squirmed heart losing this bloody clash.
My chest is now burning inside and outside. As I open my eyes once again there's nothing more than a blurred red sparkle glistering in front of me.
This has never happened before but I instantly knew that if my heart is going to die...it's best if it is as a Phoenix does.

We are all immigrants
The issue of immigration is a pressing issue. The war in Syria and the flight of thousands of people affect not only Europe but the entire world. São Paulo (Brazil), a state built by immigrants, never stopped receiving them. In recent years, thousands of Haitians, Arabs, Africans, Bolivians chose São Paulo as a new address. By observing this movement, Chico photographer Max decided to portray these people in a positive way.

San Andres beach
Photo taken in March of 2015 in San Andres - Colombia whith a Nikkon camera.
This is basically a desperate cry for the world situation. Each day we see more and more of the nature been destroy in the name of progress, and it really bothers me how we, the people of the world, watch this happen while we sit helpless waiting for some sort of government resolution that never is going to come. So the idea behind this its really simple, but to get to this point i went to a number of complex processes, both artistic and philosophical. This work entitled "Mater" ( which is the latin word for Mother ) it's a series of digital images of details of nature, capture with day light, but subverting this type o light and manipulating it ( on camera) to apear like a Studio lightning. By the addition of a red lens filter and close up filters i wanted to capture that singular, and often small beauty, an bring it closer to the eyes. The most important thing is to show people what they often can't see ( or don't pay enough attention ) , offering then a chance to reflect and connect with nature through art in a unique an singular way.

Spirit of the Native Land
''Art is contemplation; It is the pleasure of the spirit that pervades nature and discovers that nature also has a soul.''
More recently, we have made an improvement and now we have a new feature - "Series uploading." Even now, you can download from 3 to 10 photos in the series, united by a common idea. Voting for the series will take place separately from other series in their nominations. vote principle remains the same as for single photos. At the moment, series uploading is available for nominations: "Children's Photography", "Wild Animals", "Staged Photography" and "Reportage photo". This feature is available for any improved account.
