Mater
This is basically a desperate cry for the world situation. Each day we see more and more of the nature been destroy in the name of progress, and it really bothers me how we, the people of the world, watch this happen while we sit helpless waiting for some sort of government resolution that never is going to come. So the idea behind this its really simple, but to get to this point i went to a number of complex processes, both artistic and philosophical. This work entitled "Mater" ( which is the latin word for Mother ) it's a series of digital images of details of nature, capture with day light, but subverting this type o light and manipulating it ( on camera) to apear like a Studio lightning. By the addition of a red lens filter and close up filters i wanted to capture that singular, and often small beauty, an bring it closer to the eyes.The most important thing is to show people what they often can't see ( or don't pay enough attention ) , offering then a chance to reflect and connect with nature through art in a unique an singular way.
