One morning while we were in the Maasai Mara reserve we were told that there was a lioness watching with interest on a herd of zebras. We rushed there and within seconds, the lioness pounced on a zebra cub and captured it. Even before she could choke him, we heard a huge roar and 2 lions rushed in her direction, they also grabbed the zebra and ran down the slope towards the jeep we were in. The lions fought, roared, rolled over each other and did not let go of the zebra for even a second. Neither of them gave up their part in the zebra and the interaction between the two of them seemed like a dance.
