I just had to take advantage of this view from my backyard. I first did some basic planning with PhotoPills, but I would like to see more details, beside MW core from this app. That's why I decided to import Google Earth landscape to Stellarium and I was simply changing the time and date.
Importing landscape to Stellarium takes quite a lot of time and you gamble, because there is a good chance that nothing interesting will appear on your screen. Looks like I got quite lucky with this one.
About the landscape:
Mount Porezen is a mountain of the outlying Alps located in Slovenia. It is the highest summit of the Slovenian Prealps and one of the icons of Cerkljanska region. We could be one of the last generations to see Porezen as it is, since trees and other growth is taking over the meadows.
About the sky (source: wikipedia):
The Heart Nebula, IC 1805, Sharpless 2-190, lies some 7500 light years away from Earth and is located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by William Herschel on 3 November 1787. It is an emission nebula showing glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes.
