Futsal is a local sport that is similar to football and is played in rice fields. This game is most popular in Gilan province and among farmers, and is usually played during the planting of rice seedlings in agricultural lands. In the village of \"Kin Chah\", it has been popular among the youth of this village since ancient times. With the efforts and cooperation of enthusiasts of this local sport, in 2016 it was held as a regulated sport and in the form of a cup tournament with the participation of 8 teams. Futsal is different from futsal, which is observed in other provinces of Iran, in terms of rules. The name of this game is a combination of two words: foot and chel. chel in the local dialect of the villages of Astana Ashrafieh means mud, and futsal means \"football in mud\". Due to the similarity of the difficulty of hitting the ball in the mud with sand, the rules of this game are somewhat similar to the rules of beach soccer. The village of Kin Chah, Astaneh Ashrafieh, is the cradle of footy in Gilan, and the local people of all ages enthusiastically support this sport. This sport, along with tug-of-war and other local competitions in the villages of Astaneh Ashrafieh, helps encourage young people to play sports and introduce rural culture to the world.
