in 2021, while exploring the vast environment of the serengeti, tanzania, i encountered a true survivor. it is incredibly rare to see a speed hunter with one eye to focus survive in the wild, as their entire existence relies on perfect vision and high speed. yet, this high speed land torpedo showed me the absolute meaning of resilience to nature. from resting proudly on his vast rock kingdom, to revealing the deep, cloudy scars of his blind eye in a close-up, he is a predator who refuses to yield. to my complete amazement, he even showed a rare, special ability to climb trees to scan for his prey. watching him adapt and overcome his physical limits was a powerful lesson. nature is harsh and unforgiving, but this one eyed king adapts with pure, unmatched resilience.
