“Boundaries”

The Iberian lynx walks freely across the snow, silent and self-assured within its ancestral territory. Each step reflects a species evolved to roam vast landscapes, moving with balance and restraint.

Then the movement stops.

An artificial barrier fragments the space, redefining the limits of its world. The repetitive geometry of the fence contrasts with the organic presence of the animal. The image shifts from wildlife portrait to a visual statement about imposed boundaries.

In the final gaze, the lynx looks beyond the metal grid. The territory continues, yet access has been interrupted. The series becomes a reflection on habitat fragmentation and the fragile balance between conservation and restriction.

A free species confronted with the edge of its freedom.

Sergio, your technical execution is clean. The exposure is balanced, and the focus on the eye is sharp. The composition in the first image effectively isolates the subject against the geometric pattern of the fence.

The narrative arc works. Moving from a close-up portrait to a wide shot showing the scale of the barrier provides good context for the "Boundaries" theme. The contrast between the organic fur and the rigid metal is clear.

The third image feels slightly less impactful than the first two; the background blur is a bit busy, which distracts from the subject's forward movement. However, the series as a whole succeeds in documenting the tension you intended. Good work on the restraint. 📷
