This photographic project captures the quiet poetry of rural life and cultivated landscapes from a perspective rarely seen: directly overhead. Straight from Above is a collection of drone images taken vertically above fields, forests, farmhouses, and furrows—where nature and human hands meet in patterns both ancient and evolving. Each frame reveals something normally hidden in plain sight: the geometry of plowed earth, the delicate curves of irrigation lines, or the patchwork beauty of wild growth meeting cultivated order. From high above, the ordinary becomes abstract, the familiar becomes mysterious.

But beyond the patterns and symmetry, this series is about presence—how we live with land rather than simply on it. The aerial view brings distance, yes, but also intimacy: a way of seeing the quiet labor, the seasons, the footprints of care and continuity etched into the soil. In a time when we’re often disconnected from where our food grows or how landscapes breathe, Straight from Above invites us to look again—with awe, respect, and renewed attention.
