I took this photograph in Brazil, in 2024, during a quiet walk where I wasn’t looking for anything - until this wall caught my eye. It wasn\'t the material that drew me in, but the repetition: rows of small stone tiles, shifting rhythmically like pixels or notes on a forgotten song. The play of shadow and depth created a visual pulse, almost like breathing.
The image itself is an invitation to pause. It doesn’t ask to be understood, only observed - much like music without lyrics. There’s no clear narrative, just a tactile sensation of movement within stillness. It reminds me that abstraction lives in everyday surfaces, waiting to be seen.
As an amateur photographer, I’m often guided by instinct more than intention. I take photos to make silence visible - and sometimes, to give shape to what I feel but can’t name. This image is part of that search.
