The photo was taken during a humanitarian aid mission in one of Yemen’s war-affected regions.Her father is a soldier earning just 27,000 Yemeni rials per month, while her younger brother’s medical treatment costs around 25,000 rials monthly. She is one of seven sisters living in a rural area lacking basic necessities, traveling nearly 8 kilometers daily by donkey just to fetch water.While interviewing her father, I couldn’t hold back my tears. The girl watched silently… then she began to cry too—not just because she is a child, but because she is living what no one should endure.
