In a box hidden away,
Lies a treasure from yesterday,
Dead love letters, now gray,
Words of love that didn\'t stay.
Once they held such promise,
With passion they did caress,
But now they are lifeless,
A bitter taste they do impress.
Each word feels like a weight,
A painful reminder of fate,
Of a love that didn\'t mate,
Abond that was doomed to abate.
Now they are mere relics,
Memories of moments so delicate,
A love that now feels hectic,
A bond that was never legitimate.
They are nowjust dead letters,
Forgotten love, lost to the ethers,
A tale of two hearts that were betters,
Now reduced to mere regrets and litters.
With a heavy heart, I read,
The words of love now so dead,
A love that I had once led,
Now gone and forever bled.
