Before the onset on the big winter rains, in mid-May 2020, I spent about a week at sunrise and sunset visiting beautiful little Lake Gwelup (which is tucked in between the burbs of Perth Western Australia). With the lake less than half full, the shapes and textures of the lake and the cracked mud were captivating, especially seen from above. This image is taken in the north-eastern corner of the lake, and two swans can be seen taking a morning paddle whilst a small flock of cockies fly over.
