What is it that only Adam Karvat (that man in the portrait) knows at the height of his 95 years? So many things that marked his face and shaped his character. What a lovely person! I didn't know him, but in a conversation of just over an hour I discovered that the secret to getting this far is to have love and kindness in your heart (and in your eyes). We are nothing but moments. But this gentleman dodged time and achieved eternity. Because? Well, because he was one of the pioneers of my city and more than that, he will remain in my memory forever and ever for his simplicity, humility, happiness and disposition.
