A teenage boy delivering 10cans of water to a customer in Bariga,Lagos.
This is a business mostly dominated by the Hausas (Hailing from the Northern part of Nigeria). It has been running in Nigeria for a very long while now and has been a big source of livelihood to thousands. They also go by the name "Mai sayar da ruwa" or the popular short version "Mai ruwa" which translates to "Water seller". In some parts of Lagos, some Mai ruwa prefer to transport their water with a long strong stick on their shoulder having very thick long ropes connected at the two ends tied to their cans, while others push theirs in a truck.
The downside of the former is you'll gain lesser money than the later since you carry just two cans, but will move quicker since the later is pushing about 10cans.
Their customers varies, from the rich, to the middle class and in some cases even the poor, and are valued for their services since water is a big necessity in many homes across the state.
