This photo was taken in the south of the Nicoya peninsula, Costa Rica.
After walking away from civilization I found these formations of volcanic rocks, very common in the area, completely inhabited by these birds, known as the Black Vulture or in spanish, Zopilote Negro. Everything seemed static and everything was black, except that little tree contrasting its greens against the rock. I got as close as I could and as soon as I saw that the birds were beginning to get restless, I shoot, so here is the photo.
