A blue tit pauses amongst the branches of a rowan tree, surrounded by foliage and clusters of autumn berries. Rather than filling the frame with the bird, I wanted to show it as a small part of its natural environment. The sweeping branches and leaves create a loose frame around the blue tit, while the bright rowan berries punctuate the surrounding greens. It was a brief, quiet encounter with a familiar species, photographed without disturbing the bird or its surroundings.
