I took this photo in 2025 using my friend\\\'s camera, i had walked by some new buildings that were freshly built on a large space of land in our university campus. The design was unlike most of the designs of other buildings in the campus, they looked minimalistic but not in a functional brutalist way, they looked minimalistic in a performative way. Call me a creature of habit, but most of the governmental buildings where i was born, are heavily inspired by brutalism, and i grew to like the brutalist architecture, to me it resembles smart, economic functionlity and practicality. The ironic thing about this new building was that it was never used, never entered by students or professors, and then the whole space later became a forbidden spot in the campus, where only service workers can go there to clean the area. Despite the beauty of the marble and the symmetry of the shapes, this to me represents fakeness and performativeness, the beauty and flawlessness of something on the outside while being completely hollow and empty of any life on the inside.
