In the heart of the Northeast Indian wilderness, the smallest details often hold the most complex stories. This macro study captures a female Icerya purchasi (Cottony Cushion Scale) in the midst of its life cycle. Beyond the striking, fluted wax ovisac lies a masterclass in biological engineering—a self-secreted fortress designed to protect the next generation. My work aims to bridge the gap between the unseen and the understood, documenting the overlooked architects of our forest ecosystems.
