The Durbar hall at Mysore Palace aka Amba Vilas Palace is renowned for it\'s costly and luxurious designs, featuring numerous small complicated decorated designs, painted and sculptured on the pillars. The pillars are prominently made of granite and are often painted in rich colours which are typically in combination of maroon, gold and dark green. The columns are highly decorated featuring detailed carvings and when these are combined with the hall\'s overall designs, it often displays the shades of green, dark or gilded finishing like a thin layer of gold.
