These four landmarks—the Wukang Building, the Cathay Theatre, and the Paramount Hall, and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Shanghai—are not merely architectural structures to me. They are vessels of collective memory, layered with time and stories. By abandoning precise representation, I sought to capture not what the eyes see, but what the soul feels. Through multiple exposures, the solid facades dissolve into fleeting impressions; light bends, histories overlap, and reality breathes into a dream. This is my visual meditation on Shanghai’s enduring spirit—where the past lives on, not in stone, but in the ethereal traces it leaves on our hearts.
