The Mulito River, which acts as a natural border in the Pedernales area, is a vital artery for communities on both sides of the divide. For many children in these remote regions, the daily crossing is not defined by geopolitical boundaries, but by basic needs and domestic chores that are part of daily life on the island\'s periphery.
