This picture has been clicked at Chilika Lake, Odisha, India. Chilika is home to fishing community that earns their livelihood by fishing and selling the catch in local markets. The fishermen pack their nets by noon and begin their journey when the sun goes down. In the depths of Chilika Lake, they set their nets and wait overnight. Early in the morning, they pull in the nets and return to the shore. At the shore, another group collects the caught fish and takes them to the local market. There I spoke with one group and hired a boat to go inside the lake early in the morning so that I could freeze some moments of the fishing process. After a long wait and several clicks, I finally captured the perfect moment and shot that defines their and my labor too.
