This is a scene from the traditional Tezutsu Fireworks event held in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
They start by cutting the bamboo for the festival, and spend an enormous amount of time making the fireworks.
The techniques have been passed down from generation to generation from local elders, and the traditions and culture they protect are worthy of respect.
The final moment when the Tezutsu fireworks leap is a moment that those who worked so hard to create them will never see. I want to capture that moment, this incredibly cool moment, in a photograph to convey to them.
