INDIAN GRAY HORNBILL - Photograph taken on Feb 15, 2025, 17:53
Camera Used: Nikon D7500 with Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens at 600mm.
Exif: f/8, 1/100s, ISO 560 (auto), exposure Manual RAW file processed on NX Studio by Nikon.
Discerption of photograph taken:
My house, which is situated amidst dense trees, has four to five pairs of grey hornbills. Usually, these hornbills come out in pairs in the morning and evening and are seen sitting on nearby trees or electric poles. Today, a little before sunset, this hornbill came and sat on the electric pole in front of my house. Its partner sat on the electric wire some distance away as if there was some rift between them. This one sat alone, sadly waiting for its partner. I got to see such a sight after a long wait and that\'s when I took its photograph.
