I captured this shot at the Kedarkantha summit, 12,500 feet above sea level, in freezing -10°C. As we began our descent on the snowy slopes, the towering Himalayan peaks created a surreal backdrop. I noticed a group joyfully making their way down, and without wasting a moment, I pulled off my gloves, grabbed my Google Pixel 8, and captured this scene.

This image is unique in its own way. If you look closely, you’ll see one person standing, another losing control, and someone who has already fallen into the snow. It beautifully reflects life itself—where we fall, stand, and rise again.
