Fereydoun is the most prominent mythological figures of Iran. He is the son of Abtin and Frank and from Jamshid tribe, who with the help of Kaveh Ahangar overcame the tyrant Zahak and imprisoned him in Mount Damavand. Then he himself becomes the king of the world and is considered one of the pre-eminent kings in Ferdowsi\'s Shahnameh. Fereydon divides the world between his three sons, Salem, Tor and Iraj. He gave Iran to Iraj, but Salam and Tor were jealous of Iraj and killed Iraj. After learning about this incident, Fereydun gave Iran to Manouchehr, Iraj\'s grandson. Fereydun\'s birthplace was Varke Larijan village in Tabarstania, Varana, which in later texts is called Known as \"Var\", it was a village in Larijan region. He founded the city of Amel, according to a legend, Fereydun, and it is said that his and his children\'s graves were also in the same city.
