Movement: Dance Category Guidelines

"Movement: Dance" is a category aimed at conveying dynamics and showing the progression of events, where the subject's movement is the central element of the shot. The main goal of photographs in this category is to capture the dynamism and displacement of the subject in time and space, creating a sense of continuity and change. Photographs should focus on movement as the main element, evoking a sense of energy in the viewer and engaging them in the event captured in the frame. The use of sequence techniques is allowed — depicting several phases of movement of a single subject within a single frame.

Accepted:

Images conveying the expressiveness, rhythm, and energy of dance, where movement is the conceptual and compositional center of the frame
Works using artistic techniques (motion blur, sequence, long exposure) that emphasize the movement of the subject in time and space

Not accepted:

Static, posed portraits of dancers or performers without pronounced dynamics and a sense of action
Frames where movement is unreadable or accidental, as well as technical flaws (blur as a mistake rather than an artistic intent)

Vote

The voices of the audience are accepted during the period of acceptance of work and 20 days after completion.

Prize

Increase the limit to the load for the main contest 35AWARDS. Extensive coverage of the winner photos, as well as 10 of the best photos of the competition.
