We seek images that convey the magic and drama of transitional light states — when the sky is painted in unique hues, and nature is transformed under a special angle of illumination. The main subject is the sky at the moment of sunrise or sunset: from the first rays of dawn to the last glimmers of the departing day, from the gentle pastels of the morning dawn to the fiery bursts of the evening sunset.
The photograph should reveal the unique atmosphere of these moments — whether it be the soft golden glow of morning light, the pink-violet palette of the pre-dawn sky, the saturated orange-red tones of sunset, or the deep blue shades of twilight.
Accepted:
- Photographs where the sky and sunrise/sunset lighting are the central and dominant element of the composition
Not Accepted:
- Photographs taken at midday or when the sun is high above the horizon
- Shots where the sky and lighting play a secondary role, and the main focus is on other objects
