The Vittal Birdev Annual Yatra, something that is not heard of, is celebrated at Pattan Kodoli village in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra attended by thousands of devotees coming from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra between 17th and 24th of October. The festival is celebrated to offer prayers to the community diety of the shepherds, Shri Vittal Birdev, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. They consider that the festival and rituals would bring good fortune.

- Vittal Birdev Yatra One of the craziest festival yet the one which remains unknown and unexplored is the annual Haldi Festival at Pattan Kadoli in Maharastra. Shepherds from Maharastra, Andra Pradesh, Karnataka assemble at Pattan Kadoli and celebrate the festival by immersing themselves and everyone around with Turmeric Powder. Over 200000 devotees merge into this little village which gets packed to the brim and ofcourse gets coated with yellow color.
