Photo Title - Bohurupi Duo
In a quiet village of West Bengal, an ancient tradition comes alive, Bohurupi. A father and son sit outside their mud-walled home, transforming into mythic characters through vibrant face paint. The father, with his face painted blue as Lord Shiva, checks his reflection in a small green mirror, perfecting each detail. Beside him, the son admires his own yellow painted visage, a playful contrast, smiling into his reflection. Generations merge in this simple moment, skill, devotion, and artistry passed down like an heirloom. Soon, they will step into the streets, bringing gods, demons, and folklore to life, keeping a centuries old culture breathing.
